3-D Surface Characterization of Fossil using Laser Interferometry Technique:

Laser interferometry, a well known metrology technique extensively used in nanofabrication, offers a non-contact, non-destructive method to measure feature dimensions and surface roughness. The LEXT laser microscope displays 3-D images while providing true dimensional data for 3-D surface feature characterization and quantification.

Biofouling in marine environment is a critical issue for field studies. Currently, the majority of marine coating products are based on the release of TBT, Cu, or biocides. Zwitterionic-based nonfouling coatings can offer an environmentally benign, durable, effective, and low-cost solution.
